From The Perspective of Refugees/Migronaut

We want to be accepted. We will go any country, if the rights and freedoms are admitted. We don't ask too much. We know 'Beggars can't be choosers'. That being said, we want the right to an adequate standard of living. (It's guaranteed in the human rights related documents)

In reality, there're some greedy refugees. It can't be helped. They say that Japan is tough to live because most of Japanese can't speak English properly, much less understand what we say!! and Japanese government should concede the part of the medical treatment because we are refugees and don't have much money enough to recuperate completely.

I think the latter is true. Surely, Japanese should study English and make some laws related to the issues of refugees laxer before addressing stupid stuffs, but the rules (laws) related to the medical treatment for refugees should be revised as soon as possible. I want to be alive much longer. I don't want to forsake my family. From these reasons, please, please Japanese government. Please make the rules and laws related to medical treatment laxer for us.

  1. This is a fairly convincing perspective. It may not help a refugee's case in Japan, though, if (s)he criticizes the inability of most Japanese to speak English.

As for medical treatment, it seems that even for foreign tourists visiting Japan there is a problem that some hospitals or clinics refuse treatment because they worry about whether they can communicate sufficiently with the foreign patients. Admittedly, a lack of travel insurance on the part of some of the tourists is another factor.

  2. The additional perspectives you added to this entry are completely believable, detailed, and very well expressed. Thank you for keeping it in the 1st person (or 1st person plural "we") perspective. Some of the other groups missed that point.
    Cheers,

  3. I studied about refugee in other class and the topic was very interesting. I suppose the reason why Japan haven't accepted many refugee is partially because of its conservative culture. While the other countries influencing other culture one another, Japan historically did not interact with western culture till Edo period if i remember correctly. Also, since Japan is an island country, it is very hard for refugee to flee to Japan. The geographical difficulty explains such a low number of refugee Japan holds today. There's still some people who shares conservative way of thinking, but I agree to accept more refugee in Japan.
